Sensors for the turbo?
I had a free diagnostic and he said the sensor that keeps the turbos at the righttemp is going. But couldntthink of the name of the sensor. I think it's an ETG sensor. Its supposedly on the back of the engine onthe exhaust. Can't find EGT in the shop manual.. any ideas and a link to a DIY. Thanks.

There are two EGT sensors, one for each exhaust bank. The passenger side is easy to replace, the driver side is difficult. Not cheap, generally only available as a pair.

Thanks I was looking for that. It completely evaded my thought process. Now so I don't mess up. Diverted valves. Blow off valves and pcv valves are basically the same thing right? This dude said all these parts and I'm trying to put the puzzle together.

Diverter Valve is essentially a Blowoff value, but instead of venting the leftover pressurized air in your intake to the atmosphere, it vents it back into the intake (which your ecu accounts for). Don't use a blowoff valve unless you have accounted for it in a tune... I assume you have not, so don't use a blowoff valve.
PCV valve is different. It vents combustion blow by gasses in your crankcase back into the intake.

Some have resoldered the internals, some have coded them out. I got a pair on sale a year ago and car ran like new afterward.
If an EGT is coding, the car is in a limp mode - crap gas mileage and power.

OTOH, if you have a blowoff valve the mass air flow sensor or whatever is measuring the airflow will think more air is coming in than really is (because you blew it out the valve) and will really enrich the charge…when the valve closes the injectors pump lots of fuel into the cylinder and it may or may not completely fire/burn…on a real short exhaust pipe like on a rear engine or mid engine vehicle you get to see fireballs out the rear...
