second thoughts on h-sports....
aside from them costing me about 360 with shipping, with install its gonna end up almost if not 500 for them. is it really that worth it? I mean i dont really notice anything bad with my stock sport suspension and i havent been able to drive an a6 with h-sports so i have no idea what to expect. is it really that drastic or is it just a noticeable differnece but nothing too big a deal?

Yes...
I don't have them on my own car (yet), I do have a PSK bar (courtesy of Boston Driver) that's been collecting dust in my garage for a while. Decided not to install it as I'd rather just do the H-sports.
I've driven both Boston Driver and SouthboroAudiGuy's cars with the H-sports and sport suspenion. Difference is night and day compared to my stock setup.

I have OEM sport and loved the upgrade.
Check the H-sport link in my signature for the DIY article AND my impressions on the impact it has on ride quality.
Worth it. Definitely.

When I first drove the 4.2 without the H-sports after having them on the 2.7T...
there is a HUGE difference in the handling and feel while cornering. I think among those mods you list as "upcoming" the H-sports are by far the best bang-for-the-buck!
After having them installed in the 4.2, then going for a test drive for another AWer (the red 4.2 a few months back), I almost lost it cornering in the stock 4.2 setup....I think the sales guy almost fainted. I explained that I was used to something a bit more stable. LOL!!!
