Seat Switch replacement needed
Just picked up my new to me (Well new to my son), 2000 A6, and found the drivers seat switch is broken.
Where is the best place to find parts like that, and is changing out the seat switch a difficult thing.
It has power seats with drivers side memory and power lumbar adjustment.
It is just the lever that controls the seat back that is broken.

I did remove the bolt(s) or nut but found out afterward I really didn't need to.

Yep, found one on ebay for $8 after seeing they were $150 new.
Oh, yea! I get to drive home 800 miles with the seat sitting up to straight!

You don't have to remove the bolt(s) that hold the seat in front in the middle but it helps the first time you get into the seat switches. It allows you to tilt the seat back (and remove it if you so wish). But you don't need to.

With a little wiggling the trip separates in the front and then you can get to the switch.
The hardest part for me was getting the screw for the rear of the trim back in. Seems the piece it screws into swivels a bit to allow the seat to move and in doing so makes it hard to line up.
All in all, $8 and 30 minutes is a lot better than I expected.
