Default use flathead screwdriver to gently pop all the keys off....

then wash them in the sink, and wipe out under them, you'll be how shocked how nasty it gets. I do this about once a year to all my keyboards except the one on the laptop, because those keys are faaaaar too fragile for even me to deal with.

not that having a clean keyboard helps my typing at all...

Default Keyboards are disposable... Even on a laptop, I would just replace.

But yes, thats a good way to maintain if you dont want to spend $50 for a new laptop keyboard.

Default I wouldn't consider my IBM Model M disposable.

Removable key caps (that go over the actual key) FTW.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Model_M</a
