I didn't think there were any regular C5 avants with the 2.7T. Thought that was only in the sedan and Allroad.

Looks like you are right. Was thinking the Advent was a 2.7. but it is a 3.0.

The Allroad I just test drove was a 2.7. Drove nice.
Just a small clunk (suspension, engine mount or exhaust, not transmission) on decell.
Guessing it may need suspension arms,

That's cool you remember these moments back then, in similar relevance my Grandfather was part owner in a Chevy dealership in Harper Woods MI then to a Dodge unit in Warren MI because back then there was no multi-selling of new makes..GM black balled him for doing so against franchise agreements....my have things changed now.
They used to call him the "Volume King" in the greater Detroit area.
