Hi all, my 2000 A6 2.8L is running like crap! I'm getting the p0341 code along with miss fire codes. I bought a new cam sensor and it did nothing. Checked voltage at the sensor connection. 4.8v with the car off. Checked the reluctor wheel. I could see no damage. Funny thing, I was looking at codes and symptoms on the OBD site & my symptoms are identical to code p0340 but I haven't ever gotten that code. Any ideas what else it could be?

If your code is this: P0341 or 16725

Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1
or Single Sensor

G40 - Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor
Camshaft adjustment servicing
Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor checking
Ignition components removing and installing

Then that is what your dealing with, STF the code.

Did I maybe skip a tooth on my timing belt? That is all I can come up with.

Anyone else out there with any ideas? Not ready to spend $200 to have it towed to somewhere so they can charge me $100 to figure out the problem.......or not. Guys, I'm not stupid just not a machanic. So anything HELPFUL would be nice. Thanks in advance.
