Default Other than a slightly feminine Backside...

I really love the A6- I've seen pictures of several moded A6's with rear spoilers -which REALLY improves the view from back IMO- What is the best source for a high quality spoiler?
Thanks!

Default How's the lip spoiler fit?

how does the M5 lip spoiler fit on the trunk lid? I wouldn't think that the fit would be perfect, but it looks great and i am thinking of putting one on my (also black) a6. Is it an easy install? The RS6 spoiler is just too big in my opinion.

Default What is it with boys and spoilers??? :)

I think spoilers are *icky*! Maybe it really is a boy/girl thing.

Never thought of my A6 as a girly-mobile though ... esp. when I leave everyone in the dust when the stoplight turns green! I love all those horsies under the hood!

Not Girlie.... just a little feminine.
Audi does such an incredible job with design... especially inside. How many other car makers change the type and color of the wood based on the color of the leather interior? The attention to detail is incredible. That said... I still think the back end needs something....

Default OK, got it '03A6-4.2! :)

Hope you find a nice manly spoiler for the A6! If so, be sure to post a pic of it!

That's an interesting point you make about matching the wood and the leather. I had no idea! Well, I am basically an Audi Moron (tm), but hoping to learn more from people like you and others on this board who know waaaaay more than I do! (I want to be April/Verdegrrrl (sp?) when I grow up!)

Default Here is a post from the past showing the side-by-side comparison of the M5 and RS6 spoilers...

M5 vs RS6 spoilers on light vs. dark A6

I think the rear of the car is great, but the spoiler just adds a good touch to break up the rounded trunk. It is simply a matter of personal preference. One is not "better" than the other. It just depends on what appeals to YOUR eye.

FYI - I am a big fan of OEM, and the M5 spoiler only costs about $150 unpainted at the BMW dealership, whereas the RS6 spoiler costs about $450 unpainted. There are fairly good replicas out there, but do a search here for discusions about the various vendors. There have been some problems in the past regarding proper fit, acceptable finish, and delayed refunds for canceled orders or returned items.
