Default Agreed, the fine is excessive. But IMO, the impound was appropriate, since you were driving despite

no license. I don't see driving w/o a license as petty at all.

Default That doesn't make sense. If the suspension was over and you have a valid MD licence,

then how were you busted for DOL?

Thats what the summons says, "Petty", 30day impound is excessive unless your DWI

Default Your supposed to pay a reinstatement fee, which slipped my mind over the years

alot has happened, and it is possible to have a valid MD license but have suspended priviledges in VA, as such we live in a Replublic.

Default Wow that's harsh my daughter got a 85 in a 55 in VA $80.00 was all it cost

But then I again I had her wear her Sunday best, let the judge know she was an unemployed college student and had lost her driving privilages at home. The judge thanked me and charged the 80 bucks. the guy before us had the same and got jail time and over a grand in fines. It has alot about how you present yourself in court
