Default 2.8 is a great engine. Not everyone needs a faster car.

In fact, I would've gotten into a ton of trouble if it had been any faster. But the thing did like to rev.

Now I have gas mileage keeping me slower.

Plenty of good indies nearby. KMD in Mtnsde, Sal@Elite on LI, Quatrohaus in Nwk. Ask on NY/NY forum.

Default Absolutely none of what you mentioned is worth getting rid of this car..

Rear brakes are a piece of cake, if you can change a flat, you can change your brakes. For the cats, you can get replacements, or better yet, piggies or used aftermarket DP's. Touch up the rear bumper and you're back in business.

I've got 169k, still loving it.

Default FYI- Gonna lease a corrolla. 139/mo, never got to worry about the next $2500 mechanics bill. And b4

you all start to yell, yeah I know the a6 is a hella fun car to drive, and looks 10000X better than any rice burner..but the truth is...after the 3k turbo job, 2k timing belt, and oh yeah i forgot to mention a new clutch at $1500...I'm done.

You are talking about over 6 grand in work that on ANY other car would have cost half that.
