Ok, Be HONEST...
I have just dipped my toe in the water with my first mod... window tint, great thing-
The car just sets about an inch too high.
So, here's my question- I enjoy the ride of my Audi now, how much "harsher" is it going to be with a H&R or equiv. Spring kit? Also, how much should I expect to pay to have them installed? and last but not least, will I also need new shocks?
Thanks!

Re: Go for eibach if you want to preserver your ride quality. Should be about 1100 installed
Does that include new shocks? Also, I'm Audi Certified for the next two years. Do the new springs effect warranty?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Coilovers give you height adjustability to suit your needs
Some have found sport springs alone to not supply the lowering effect they were looking for. Also, once they settle to their final height, if you don't like where they end up, you are out of luck.
My experience with H&R coilovers is that while they do stiffen up the ride a bit, it is not at all harsh. I am very happy with their ride quality, and they make the car handle better as well.
In the end, in my opinion it is very much worth the extra money to be able to dial in the height exactly as you want it. They may seem pricey, but they deliver massive real world benefit.

Do you have the sport package? If your happy with your ride now, why switch? If you do
I recommend H&R coilovers. IIRC about $1250 + $400 installation.
I also think you should try a H-sport sway bars first.
Just my $.02

Shocks will have as much or greater impact on ride quality...
If you go with aftermarket springs, definitely go with new shocks. The new springs will be too much for the stock shock damping and will result in a bouncy ride.
If you go with new shock, compression damping as the greatest effect on ride quality. Konis have softer compression damping than Bilsteins and should provide a better ride. That said, ride quality is very personal. Try to ride in a car that has the set-up you're interested in.
Finally, many who start with shocks/springs end up replacing them with coil overs in order to get the greater adjustability. I did. Consider saving yourself this step and install coil overs.
