reality? Your 4.2 can;t cost in repairs enough to justifyt he jump, IMO
In general the 4.2s are not too bad in the maint dept, and excellent in overall durability.
$300/mo buys a lot of maint.

i did like Legacy GT, but after test drive i sit in my A6 i thought to myself "Audi > Subaru"
in matter of comfort, in quality matter Audi is a junk (at lest mine is).

Glad to help and best of luck... PS: the Infiniti warranty is 4yr/60K full and 6yr/70K powertrain
so if you're lucky you can find one with some warranty left on it.

My son has the Legacy GT 2.5....

My son bought a Legacy GT 2.5 about 1 year ago, and has had great success with the car. The first weekend after taking delivery in SE Louisiana, we drove to NY and then moved him from Brooklyn to Denver. This was during the 2008 winter snow and ice follies. We did NYC to Chicago the first day and Chicago to Denver the next. The car was loaded down (fortunately the rear seats fold down like the Audi's) but was very comfortable for the two of us and very surefooted in the weather (see the photo for an idea of what we drove cross country in). I drove his car over Xmas when we visited him in Denver. Still tight as new with 20k plus miles.
Also took both cars (his Legacy and the wife's A6) up to breck and Beaver Creek. Both cars were on all-season tires and handled all the snow issues with absolutely no drama, just as you would expect.
The Legacy is not an Audi, but neither is the price. Good luck...
