Default Check it often!

3k or 3 mos max. If it's fine nothing lost, if not then change it. Keep checking it till you find it needs to be done.

I've written a number of articles on synthetic oil and intervals. Search for synthetic by me in the 80/90 forums.

It's all in who you are and how you drive and the condition of your motor and how you drive it, etc...

Also an XPost from the 30V forum

Default You be dumpin' an awful lot of perfectly good oil down the drain...

I think my 10k interval, particularly given my driving habits (50 mile round trip commute, almost all highway), is on the agressive side.

My dealer uses 5W-40 Syntec in mine. We have 4 seasons, incl. cold, snow.

Default Why not something like 502.00 Elf Excellium LDX (or NF) 5W40...

or whatever Total Quartz thing they've renamed it to in the US? Last I checked, more 5W40 was on the 502.00 list than 0W40.

I'll never understand the rename. The average consumer in the US has heard of neither, but some may have heard of Elf from the Renault F1 team.
