Can I set the door lock to auto lock itself after shifting to drive?

Default locks at 15mph

add 32 to the value in 35-Central Locks, Recode - 07.

Always write down your original value.

Default Different tastes. I hate that mod.

Mom's Jetta does that.
Ready for work, so I grab my laptop and head to car. Open driver's rear door to stash the laptop...but I can't because it's locked. Open front door, hit button to unlock doors. Open rear door, stash laptop. Drive to work. Park. Exit car and open rear door to retrieve laptop...but I can't because it's locked.
GRRRRRrrrrr.

Default Depends on where you drive. Inner city, corner lurker pops rear door and swipes laptop

There ARE good reasons to have automatic locks.
And concealed carry licenses.
And tear gas canisters in antitheft alarm systems.
And best of all, a propane canister fireball antitheft/anticarjack system.

...and, passengers try desperately to rip the door handles off when you come to a stop.

I won't enable this feature in my car, but, I won't disable it in my wife's car. You never know.
