There are 6 clips that hold it in place, pressure fit...
...three on top row, three on bottom row
Use a plastic putty knife at the sides or top/bottom edges.
Slow and gentle pressure...it will come straight out.

just fyi - just did this
yes, just as these guys describe, use a putty knife, or like I used, a pocket knife....just a thin blade. Once you plug the switch in and slide the unit back into the dash, push the switch on/off as your pushing it into the dash as it gets snug to make sure it turns on but more importantly a second push springs it back to off.
I actually put mine in and then pushed on it only to find that the fit is sooooo snug that it was squeezing the housing and preventing it from springing off....I took it in and out a few times and maybe that worked it into just the right position to allow it to turn off and on w/no problems once in the dash. The part # as a "B" instead of an "A" which the dealer said was just the next iteration of the same part...no problems...but any diff. can make it very snug....anyway, just fyi, you may need to put it in and out a few times to 'work' it into position/fit to operate easily....or, you may be lucky! easy job.

THANKS!!!
Thanks for the help guys! It is always helpful to get advice even on these seemingly simple jobs. The biggest help was knowing how many clips and where. All went well and now my signals(well, the wife's signals) are working great again.
Thanks again!!
Thanks again!!
