Default A6-RS6

I have a 2001 A6 2.7T and I want to know if I can interchange parts from the Audi RS6 to increase performance.

Default It ain't that simple

Your better off buying a RS6 then take out a second mortgage so you can feed the beast, there is a reason for creation and a reason for the price of the RS6 and it don't include a bi-turbo V8 that will tear your ship and wallet apart.

Could not have said it better. (trying to stop the giggling) Oh, if it was that easy we'd all be driving around with old jet engine parts hanging off our Pontiac 6000's and setting quarter mile records on the regular...

Not to mention a brake system with $400 rotors…..

I pull in a little over $300k a year I'm not to concerned with cash. I just wanted a fun sleeper car. If a Subaru can push 650HP then an Audi sure as hell can. My original plan was to just completely overhaul a Prius with a supercharged Big block but it would be to funny to drive and look weird with the aftermarket modification to make it all fit in the car.

Why didn't you just purchase an RS6 is that case? I think you can always build a stage III 2.7T.

Check with the B5 S4 guys for those upgrades, since they have the same motor.

In that case, since you are looking for a sleeper and not really caring much about 'purity' of the car. There was a guy who shoved a ZR1 engine in a widebody C5.

Do a search, but he was pushing some big time hp AND torque.

Default Back to reality and the RS6

If you're pulling down that kind of cash then start with a platform that can handle the power...hint...hint...RS6 + 6M transplant, now that's a sleeper.

Exactly. With just a Stage 1 chip an RS6 will be putting out more than the average StgIII 2.7T (ie. between 450 - 500awhp). Why waste time with an engine that's missing 2 cylinders if you've got the wallet to afford the real deal? It's not like the RS6 is that aggressive looking a car, outside Audi enthusiasts very few people would even think it's anything other than an plain jane A6 if they passed one on the street.

Not to digress this point, but if this is in fact the case that you pull in $300K+/year, why would you be driving 'junkers'? As you state in the this thread:

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2859486

Also, I concur with others on this thread. Why mess with a great car and try to basterdize it's parts in a 2.7T? Either go stage 3 on a 2.7T and add K04 turbos or get an RS6 and REALLY do it up.

I know of one person locally who added a supercharger to a RS4 and Jason @ AMD did the work...here's a link to their FB: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Addic...25213817506451
