Brakes hot - need help!
I desperately need help with the brakes on my 2002 A6 4.2L. The front brake rotors are hot, approximately 300 °F after driving ten miles with no braking and costing to a stop.
I replaced the worn Rotors, Pads, and Brake Fluid at 108,000 miles. During my test drive I noticed the brakes were hot and they are still hot even after:
• Bleeding the brakes multiple times per the Audi factory service manual.
• Using VAG to Bleed the ABS system.
• Replacing the master cylinder
• Replacing the original calipers with rebuilt OEM calipers.
• Replacing the flexible brake lines.
• Disabling the ABS controller.
• Disabling the Electronic Stability Control.
The calipers move freely. The wheels spin easily when cold. There is no notable pressure when the brake bleeder valve is cracked when cold or when hot.
I cannot imagine what else it can be short of the Bosch ABS system doing something I am unable to comprehend. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
