Default If it is the same as REST on my wife's Touareg, it avtivates the fan and colant pump for a limted...

time after parking to use the residual heat in the engine to keep the interior warm. It will run for about 10 minutes for up to 3 activations.

Default *Ding* MBs have it as well and for a long time too. My '94 C-Class had it.

Definitely a cool feature to have if you're running into a store and it's cold outside. Hit REST and keeps the interior decently warm.

Default Mine has an off button... What year was your car?

And, I don't have to look at that ugly *** BMW dash and argue with the i drive every day.

Default Did I ever tell you my oldest is at TAM?

She hates to go to the games because she doesn't want to stand the whole time and she catches grief if she sits down. Plus it sucks when they are losing. LMAO when told me that.

LOL! The car was a 2002, and yes, that iDrive can be a real PIA!

Default My mother's oldest friends are BMW fans, they had a 5 series wagon.. I'm not a fan of the dash..

or largely the exterior styling, but boy is it a nice car to drive. was a 535 I think, automatic, XI model.
