I just hit 60 k on my audi. Thinking to replace timing belt/water pump.

Default Factory says 90K, local dealer and indy shop say 60K...

others here say 60k is a bit ridiculous (a third sooner than factory). Not sure I disagree with that, but I had mine done at 65K, along with the WP.

Default Actually my dealer claims Audi is now saying 60K or 5 yrs..however you look at it..better safe than

Default my audi tech is telling me that age has more to do with it than mileage....

i have 66k on my 4.2 and it's 6 years old, so i'll probably get the parts and have it done soon....the 4.2's tb failure rate is the lowest of all the a6's

So i guess ill wait a bit on that. Any other service should be done at 60k? Transmission oil change?

Default I know good indy shop in carol stream. guys been working with audis, vw, bmw and mb only.

They might be not the cheapest around, but have a lot of experience in AUDI cars.

Its called EDVA motosports.

Latest Bentley has a big note with the official change to 60k/5 years.

Default i was in the left turn lane getting on to 75th street so it would have been tough to stop....
