depends on the PO, if he did all the maintenance and t0ok care of it, the 2.7 is just as reliable if not more then the others. the fact it with a turbo car alot of owners will push it to the limits, but not do necessary maintenance such as oil change tune ups etc. this can put alot of wear on the engine. but this can happen to any motor. just look for one with low miles, or has been taken care of meticulously, also DO NOT get a chipped 2.7t unless you personally know the person, who knows what they did in the thing

honestly most of the s4 owners now are 18-22 yearolds that have a small man complex and need to be tunahs and go wicked fast! they blow their turbos becuase they run chips that push the car to its limits then crank the boost. i know one guy running 22 psi on a ko3! if you keep it stock most people get over 150K on the car no problems, again comes down to maintainence and on turbos the most important is doing ONLY synthetic oil every 4-7 thousand miles

I personally know guy who sold his chipped A6 2.7t with over 200,000 miles on it in perfect shape. And yes he knows cars and cares.

Stock turbos @ 121K on my car. The reason why I went with an A6 2.7T rather than an S4 is because of the boy racer factor. Virtually every S4 out there has been ragged on most of its life.
