how much does it usually cost to change brakes and rotors?

I wont go deep into it, but i'd pass on SS lines
If you google enough you'll find otu that they are less reliable/durable than OEM and on our cars are nto a significant contributor to (mushy) brake feel. They are largely bling, and for the road, inferior in durability.
I think the labor estimates here are low for good shops. With full brake fluid flush ( which you should do), and cleaning calipers, etc., i think that all 4 wheels is a 2-2.5 hr job at $75-$110/hr.

Disagree. I've used SS (unsheathed..the sheathed are even better)
on 1987 Saab 900T for 150K (changed them at 133, 5years) since 1992, 16 years, with no perceptible wear or problem. They are literally indestructible IMHO.
ONCE I had problems with braided SS lines...an oil line that was routed near the battery...battery fumes dissolved part of the braid, the teflon held fine. Also, the braided SS can gnaw/wear if it isn't clamped correctly with rubber-lined clamps.
I subsequently replaced the oil line with blue aeroquip braided kevlar and never had any problem.
They are certainly not less reliable or durable than OEM.

Sounds like 1 axel only.....
On my S6, pads are about $200/ all 4 and rotors are about $180 rear and $200+ front, via mail, reputable OEM quality.
