No, it was not me...
No, I have NO *&#%ing CLUE how some could drive that far, and not notice.
Possibly because they're used to cars with no power in the first place.
Yes, the entire parking lot smelled like brakes when my wife's friend arrived in our car.
No, I no longer have to explain to my wife why her friends are not allowed to drive my car.
So with that out of the way, just after this happened, the following code popped after a series of loud beeps with the ABS, BRAKE, and traction-control lights all on:
18057 P1649 035
Data-bus-drivetrain: missing message from ABS Control module
I'm guessing she cooked one or both rear wheel-speed sensors? I thought there would be a code specifically for the wheel-speed sensors. I'm going to run through the CAN BUS testing procedure with my VAGCOM tonight.
Anyone else think this could be the rear wheel-speed sensor?

Unbelievable... lol
I would think the ABS sensor will throw its own code... that sounds like the data between the modules? Totally guessing though. When my wheel sensor died the code was very specific about the sensor not the data bus.. if that makes any sense.
So when you clear it is just pops back up? Maybe disconnect the sensor and see if the error changes to a "missing" sensor?
Cheers
