How far can one drive with the gas gauge on empty?

Default I usually get 2 gallons or 40-50 miles left...HOWEVER..

my tech said that it is bad to let it get down to 0 or below zero....partly because you can start to throw CEL codes etc...via the fuel injection system. He says that this is one of the biggest problems they have in the service shop.

Default Take a lesson from me!

I just spent a couple hundred dollars replacing my #4 injector after I ran it too low (forgot my wallet!) and pulled some crap from the tank. Ran like crud for a few days and threw a CEL

Don't be a fool like me... it is expensive.

Running a fuel injected car out of gas can be expensive in my past experience. Not worth it.

Default OK - Fueled up this noon when out for lunch. The tank took 23.183 Gal.

I thinks I've experimented enough...
