Default how can my A6 do this?

I have been reading for the last two hours about my wife's new grand cherokee srt8 and I haven't found the answers yet.
GCSRT8:425 horses, 420lbs of torque and a weight of 4900 lbs and a weight per horsepower of 11.52. 0-60mph 4.9sec.(depending on the driver)

A6 2.7T stage 2+:330 horses, 390lbs torque, curb weight 3800lbs and a weight per horse power of 11.51. 0-60mph of what? high 5's lows 6's???

SO what is the formula here? How can jeep achieve this performance? How fast is a stage 3 a6 0-60?

Default Well, for starters, the base engine is DOUBLE the displacement on the Jeep.

It's a 6.1 liter, vs. our 2.7 liter.

Default I see your point.

Your weight/torque is better, and weight/hp identical. But simple numbers dont tell the entire story - you need to look at the torque curves and gearing. The power/.torque curves for the jeep probably start lower and have zero lag. Moreover, the gearing might be lower. I'd guess the main difference occurs off the line.

Lay the two curves on top of each other and oogle them.

Area under the torque curve. Peak numbers don't tell the whole story.

Default 2nd

you have to look at the whole picture: torque and hp curves, displacement, gearing, etc.

That and, 425 is a conservative number for that motor.

Default ever been to Germany?

0-60 doesn't mean Scheisse..

100 to 200kmh is more important (60-120)

Our cars are geared and tuned for 100-200kmh performance
