Hey guys...I am going to look at an '02 A6 3.0qs tomorrow and was wondering...
if there is anything in particular I should look for. I am a regular over on the B5 forum, but new to the A6 world. I am accustomed to the 1.8t so the 30V is a new breed for me.
The car only has 44k miles so it should be in pretty good shape, but we'll see.

Oh great. What makes the 3.0 a no-go? It's for my dad so power isn't a big issue. I'd rather...
have the 2.7, but it's a great deal (theft recovery for $5500) so it seems like a good buy.

Wacky valve timing adjustment system.
And other issues. Most good Audi shops will tell you to opt for the 2.7t instead. A few 3.0's that I know of have seen bank one camshaft oil starvation issues.
The 3.0 is not the 2.8 or 2.7t.
