Help with misaligned headlights
The driver side headlight seems to hit the road a good distance closer to my car than the passenger side does.
I took this photo in my driveway about 20 feet in front of my garage door.
I'm pretty certain these are the HID style. When I turn them on the light beam moves for a quick second then settles in.
How do you go about adjusting these?
Thanks

My xenon headlight pattern is very similar to this, sharp cutoff, and the light aims higher on the passenger side.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe this is how it is "supposed" to be. I believe the reason that the light is slightly lower on the driver's side is so that the bright lights are not in the eyes of oncoming drivers. The passenger side is higher so that road signs and other hazards on the right side of the road are illuminated quicker. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference to oncoming drivers, but I believe that is the theory behind it. If I'm incorrect, someone please correct me.

If you scroll down to the chart at the bottom, you can see that the passenger side clearly has a longer distance with both xenon and halogen bulbs. That is, if I've interpreted the chart correctly.
Just my thoughts...

You're absolutely right.
