Had t-belt done but doesn't look like they replaced my thermostat...
I'm looking at my invoice from my t-belt service and the thermostat is not on the list! The whole timing belt assembly was replaced as well as water pump,valve cover gaskets, and cam seal gasket. Is the thermostat a part that should not be over looked when doing the timing belt, like the water pump? I would call the shop and ask them if they replaced it but I had a bad experience with them and don't feel like contacting them.

I hope you specified it, because if you didn't...
...it's going to be an expensive afterthought if it goes. What type of shop did you bring it to? Was it an Audi/VW type shop?

Re: the tstat should be done when everything is open already....
As I stated before, I had a pretty bad experience with them. I don't want to talk to them. The owner, or the guy who runs the shop, was very unprofessional. I will be the better guy and not mention the shops name.

Chances are that the thermostat will make it to the next timing belt service if it wasn't replaced.
But you are rolling the dice. Sorta like having to take two pulls when playing Russian roulette. :-)
