Had my 'JN' recall (headlight switch) done today, and got an unexpected surprise..
When I went to the service desk at Palisades Audi in Rockland NY, I was considering asking about if they would do the fog light re-wire. But I didn't bother, I got caught up drooling over the A8L, and how much room is in that car. That car is like a living room! Anyway, as I was driving I noticed the reflection in the bumper of the SUV in front of me that it looked as if my fogs were on, but I hadn't turned my headlights fully on, just my park lights. So when I got a chance to look at the front of my car my fogs were in fact on without my headlights! Nice little surprise for me. My question is, is this normal for the JN recall or did I just get lucky (which would be cool)?

Yes, just a reminder to everyone that the recall is only for halogen cars...
not those with xenons. I obtained a harness from the dealer to "experiment" to see how involved this recall is. It is actually quite difficult, lots of steps, etc. I even offered to pay the dealer to do it for me, but about 1/2 way into the project, they put everything back the way it was before.
Appartently, this recall does not go smoothly for everyone. There are a few cases where the recall wiring disrupted other things.
Just an FYI...glad it worked for C5 AVANT STYLE!!!

If your car was equipped from the factory with halogens, your car should be covered...
...under the JN recall. So, if you installed xenons to your halogen car, you should still be able to get this done on Audi's dime.
