Front Upper Control Arms
Seems these are common repair parts.
The shop said I need 3 of the 4.
2 starting to rip, and one already loose.
Looking at the service history between at about 85K the right two were done (Those are the ones starting to rip with 30K miles on them).
At about 110K the LF was done. (That is the good one, with 15K miles)
The LR was never done, and that is the bad one.
How fast do they go from starting to rip to bad?
So the question is; Do I replace one and alignment, or three and an alignment?

the results on this are all over the map , along with suggestions of manufacturer
i think OE ones work the best but are very pricey .
i would do all four if getting alignment done profesionally
or just do the ones thet needed it if i was just winging it.
its good you will get the mech to take that pinch bolt out . Looking at mine i figure im going to need King Arthur.

I am going to let the mechanic do it. (I am running out of time before the car has to go to my daughter to use.)
Was going to do all 4, but the "new" one is only 15K miles old,
(and was a pricy part from a very trusted shop, so hoping it was a factory grade part and lasts 85 to 110K like the original),
so I think I am going to just do three.
If the "old one" fails early, I figure I can do the one myself. (Later)

I'd have to say it all depends on where you live... My car started its life in Virginia and has been here all along. At 140k and a little effort it came out much easier than expected. Being in Canada with all the road salts, moose, and whatever else you have, good luck!
