Default Free, new, door lock/latch thingy

Greetings! After my cam failure on the 2003 A6, we ditched it and ordered a 2013 Ford Escape with all the options. Not an Audi mind you, but still pretty nice. We miss the A6 a bit on road trips, but I just couldn't go down that road again after all the money we stuck into the last 2 A6s.

Now after I went and did that, I had a cam issue on my 2006 Expedition that set me back $1000. But a grand is better than the $5k the dealer quoted me to fix the A6.

Anyway, I digress. Before the cam problem on the A6, I ordered a new door/lock latch (cannot remember the right name) for the drivers door. It is brand new. Don't know if Audi or aftermarket.

Due to some recent good mojo obtained on a Ford tractor forum, I am offering this to you C5'ers for shipping only. Just send me a PM and it is yours.

Cheers!
Chris

There's a part number on it. Google it and get the name of the part. Post the name and p/n. if no one wants it it's probably worth $20-50% of new part cost on eBay.

I'm surprised no one has picked up on it yet. Free is good.

It's P/N
4B1 837 015H

Left Front door lock mechanism

Like this one from here...

Or here...

Thing looks brand new to me. It was advertised as new when I bought it, but never installed before I got rid of the car.

Default I'll take it

That's actually the part I need.

If you no longer need it I will take it off your hands,

No disrespect to jeffpuxx, but cbrown9064 I hope you take into consideration the contributions made to the forum.

My intent isn't to start drama of any sort -- just thinking if you're gonna pay forward that good mojo, no better beneficiary than an active member that contributes his time on the forum trying to help others diagnose & resolve the issues with their vehicles.
