After asking for the service records and checking with AoA that the fuel sending unit had already been replaced once under recall all repairs were approved under warranty. Took one day for the approval. I paid $0 deductible, $50 in taxes and the rental car. Here is what they paid...

Service on the 4.2 at 57K miles. (done at indy Audi/VW shop, all prices are labor and parts)

Diagnostic $82.98
Climate control unit replaced $583.32
Coolant reservoir replaced $112.21
Fuel sending unit replaced $614.27
RF Upper Front Control Arm replaced $319.08
Righ valve cover gasket replaced $215.89

TOTAL: $1,927.75

OUCH!
My first experience with this company.
Glad I had the warranty and Extended Auto Warranty Corp. is now HIGHLY recommended. These guys are top notch.

And I am sooo happy to have my car back after 4 days of Grandaming... )

Extended Auto Warranty Corp.

Default I wonder when they are going to figure out that these things are costly

car is back in for a oil leak prop shaft seal a common problem. DOnt know the cost of this one.
I have $0 deductible, have already run up $2400 in repairs in the first year alone.
Instrument cluster, control arms, tierods, prop shaft seal, and some other minor services.
NOt one hiccup with the ext warranty company.

Default Sound great!!

What coverage did you purchase (e.g., miles, years, and level of coverage)? Since I have a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty from Audi and only have 27,000 miles on the car right now, for the warranty to be any use, I'd only really be getting 2 additional years if I bought the 6 year warranty. I looked up the cost for my car which is about $2,000 for 2 additional years. So, I'd be paying about $1,000 per year for 2 years of coverage. This seems high to me.

The company I have on the V6 refused the V8. I went with these guys. I was skeptical until today.

Default I think they have, their quote to me was way high a few mos. ago...

WAY over any other price for comparable coverage on my '01 Avant...more than 40% more expensive than the other major companies.
