so your saying a Borla exhaust isn't an upgrade?????? I know they are expensive and can probably get one made up for less...but where do you get your ideas/facts.

I'm saying that you have a 3600 lbs car with 200 hp and an automatic transmission (an assuption). For the engine and the tuning, the stock exhaust is adequate. Your Borla may unlease a few (very few) more ponies, but is in general not going to do much for you.
My suggestion would be to bank all the money you are ready to drop on drilled rotors, loud exhausts, hot air intakes, 20 inch boat anchor wheels and other crap. Save up for a car that has more potential.
This is not a slam on either you or the car. It's just not the right car for where you want to go with it. It's a slow, heavy eurocruiser. V-TEC is not going to kick in, yo.
Again, it's your car, so do what you want.

I am not into 20" boat cruisers and I do know enough about cars. I just think my exhaust is a little rusted and wouldn't mind new...and in the process if there were any aftermarket brands out there I would be open to. My other car (the Jeep) has over 425 ponies...so I do know how to build....I am just new to the Audi world and will admit that I am a newb when it comes to the aftermarket world....so once again...thanks for the tech advice

Don't worry, he was slammin' me too for asking about my 2.8 C5.
an A4 friend had a remus exhaust and it sounded nice. Try maybe having a friend or exhaust shop to install some straight pipes?

yeah...I know all too well that what I think or want isn't on par with others beliefs. On jeepforum it is all about lifts and I am all about other things. On here I would at least expect more help on the mod side or even more power. To be honest...I would love to find a link or write up on if a turbo is easy to install on a non turbo a6. Today I did my first mod...took out the inserts to the fogs and replaced the fogs with hid's and also took out the solid pieces on the inserts for more air flow.
