Coolant reservoir tank 1999 audi a6 Quattro
Hello,
My coolant expansion tank is leaking. It not cracking nor has a hole in it. It's leaking from the bottom area where it seems to be a cap missing. Does anyone know what that part is called? Or what is suppose to be there to stop the leakage?

There is no cap on the bottom. Just replace the tank.

There is an overflow opening on the bottom. Usually has a hose to just direct it to the ground. Maybe yours no longer has the hose attached.

If it's leaking from that overflow nipple on the bottom you have a bad cap or a leak in the sealing area where the cap screws in.
