A6 Trunk Latch Opens Manually while anti-theft alarm system is activated
On my 2004 A6, the trunk lid can be manually opened while the anti-theft system is activated [car is locked]. The alarm does sound. Is this normal?

Corroded key slot
I found that the key slot in the trunk lid was corroded from lack of use...actually never used. I was able to clean it out with a precision screwdriver, WD40 and compressed air. The lock functions normally now...can't open the lid when the alarm is activated.
