My 2003 A6 Avant has a outer CV joint making noise. It is the drivers side front axle outer CV thats got issues. Here's my questions. Do I replace the axle? Do I buy the outer CV kit from Blauparts and just replace the CV. I have replaced them on older Audi's however this is the latest model Audi I own. What all needs to be removed to do the job. I have done axle replacements before easily by turning the steering wheel full deflection. Thank you in advance for your replies.

the outter joints are prone to failure, the inners are not. i have an outter cv joint forsale if you are looking, it is from an s6, i think it is the same, but 80$ shipped takes it. brand new.
