SO as we know this plastic piece always break on our cars and I was thinking it wouldn't be too difficult to redesign this in cad and have a friend turn it at his shop. I didnt want to take apart my car for that measurement if I didnt have to. I was hoping someone had one either laying around in some fashion, broken or not. I also wondered how plausible it would be to remove the plastic piece from the shaft of the flap assembly at time of installation of the new one. Does anyone have some idea on this?

I wanted to get the exact dimensions preferably in metric of the piece and hopefully make a stock of these to disperse to you guys where needed. I know I would LOVE to have that variable runner system working 100% and I believe its possible if I can get ahold of one of these flaps.

Also if someone has one and would be willing to ship it to me, I will do all the research I need on it and send it back to you with the promise of a cheap set of these guides.
