Default code p1454, any advice?

Hello,
Just got to scan my 110k A6 2.7T with Vcds for the first time. I own regular OBD2 scanner that doesn't show "everything". The Vcds scan reviled 1 engine code that OBD2 doesn't see (pic below). CEL is off and the car runs ok. The only thing I noticed is little irregular idle or very small vibration. This code means exhaust gas temp sensor 1 short to ground intermittent.
Does any one has any knowledge/experience with this code/sensor and can shed some light over this subject? I would like to possibly fix the issue before it becomes a "category 5" catastrophe. Any input on the topic will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Name: audi.jpg

Hey Jan

Not sure if you need them, but it sounds like you might soon...

ECSTuning is running a special on the EGT sensors so you might want to grab some now and save yourself some $$$

You might get some more info here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Hi. I have a 2001 audi a6 2.7t with p1423 and p1411 (both related to secondary air injection system- low air flow on both banks)...Interesting thing is that my OBDII only showed these 2 codes. But I just got my Vag com connector and looked it up, and it showed the third code which is p1454 (Exhaust gas temperature sensor- short to ground)...Can you please tell me what was the outcome of this issue in your car? Could p1454 be the root cause of the other two codes, because I couldn't find anything wrong with the air injection system (had a leaky pipe which I replaced), but other than that the pump works...Anyway, I just wanted to know whether the vag com is throwing this code by mistake or is it genuine and were you able to resolve it? if so, how? Thank you.
