Car vibrates on highway
2004 3.0L Quattro. Car begin to vibrate on highway at 55-60 mph. The better is the road state like newly paved road, the worse is the vibration. It's the whole car that vibrates, floor, seat, gas pedal, steering wheel, etc. No mechnical noise. I checked the snub mount. It is not in good state, but has no tear.
I rotated wheels/tires to see if the vibration changes (stronger at a corner due to bad wheel/tire). But no change.
Possible cause?

Check control arms if they tight, axles. Many info on this on the net. Im still vibrating too, going to replace brand new! set of tires as soon as have some money to spend. Lift your car and have somebody run it, watching your wheels for vibration etc.

What changed / happened along the way.
I think you need to check and eliminate the usual suspects one by one. remember these cars are unusually sensitive to OOR and balance.
So - balance, bent wheel, driveshaft out of balance, loose control arm/ TRE.

Could wrong tire size be the cause?
Just realized that the tires on it are 205/55R16, while OEM tires on a Quattro are 215/55R16. Should this be the cause for the vibration?
Did anyone have tires of this size on a quattro?
