C5 Seat Refresh
Hey Everyone,
I just picked up a 2000 2.7T and absolutely love it. It's my second C5, the first being a 4.2L that met an untimely demise from an ice pillar. This one needs a little TLC to get it where I'd like it, but I'm admittedly not an upholstery guy and most of my (limited) experience with it is in the Diamond Star Motors cars. The leather in my front seats is pretty worn/cracked/torn in various parts of the seat and the padding is starting to feel like grandpa's 30yr old La-Z-Boy recliner. So I'm curious what everyone has done to refresh their seats? I spend a lot of time driving, at least 500 miles per week, so I'm looking to bring them back from their 14yr old wear and tear. Thoughts?

ice Pillar ? where were you drivin' ... Hoth ?
upholstry work tends to be expensive. maybe get a seat at a wreckers ? sounds like your sponge needs re-enforcing too.
i took the seat covers off my 911 lots if info on the web on how to do it . wonder if you can do that for the Audi ?

LOL, not Hoth but I guess Michigan in the winter is close enough. Here's some pics of the carnage. Between the broken glass, bent "C" pillars, dented trunk lid, and the fact it was 10yrs old...insurance just totaled it.
