BRAND new to Audi's
What's up everyone? I'm brand new here and just yesterday picked up my first Audi. I purchased a 2000 A6 2.7 6spd and I'm crazy excited about it. 164,xxx and was last owned by an Audi mechanic of 26 years. My question is if you were looking for some extra performance (yip just got it but yip want more lol smh) on the cheap that wouldn't destroy your engine what would you suggest? Again I'm totally a noob so I came to the best to get some suggestions. I'm a Father of 3 so I won't be entering the Gumball Rally but I'm still a dude who likes a little go-fast when the kids are in school lol. Thanks and I look forward to being a part of the community and look forward to your answers!

A Stage 1 chip/reflash will add approx. 50 hp and more torque/boost at lower rpm. Costs $500-$600. Assuming car has been maintained, should not be an issue.
I had my ECU reflashed at about 70k miles, going strong at 190k miles. I don't often wring it out, but like the extra kick. On the highway, you can leave it in 6th and have plenty of juice for passing.
Mind the timing belt intervals. If lucky, you might have had a recent timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioner service. If not, you're due.
Looks like you're in Phila, so AWE tuning is in Willow Grove, and they install the GIAC coding.
