Brake setup and tie rod end question

Those are HP2's with bad tie rods apparently.
Definitely HP2's. What I can't tell is the rotor offset--from the hub face to the brake surface face. There are two different specs for that. All 4.2's have the deeper one, but 2.7T's vary. Your rotors are drilled, which says they were changed from original OEM.
No, HP2's are big calipers, so wheel choice is limited. Anything OEM that bolts to the 4.2 or 2.7T of course fits. Ater that, you need to be careful. The rotor offset will also affect this.
Yes, if you have any play in the tie rod ends, they are worn. Often you will find slight tears in the rubber grease boots too, which also means they are shot or will be very soon.
