Default Bluetooth Install DONE

I wanted to say thank you to those who offered advise on the install process. Boston D thanks.
I went with the Parrot 3100, WOW nothing to cut or splice the kit it comes with plugs that match right up to the radio (2000 Bose system) all I had to do was run a new Mic which is very easy (thanks Boston again)everything works just like factory, I did not even need to put in a new Red plug (which i have now if anyone is looking for one and wants to save on dealer prices)and the 3 wires that some bluetooth kits need. Along with that I installed the laser blocker that goes with my escort 8500 X50 that was straight forward also (I have a remote mute adaptor for the escorts now also if anyone is interested). All in in all about 3 hours to run everything and clean it up. Love the systems and thanks to all for help!

Default Where'd you put the display/control box?

Can you hear the relay(s) click when the phone mutes the radio?

I've been thinking about doing that same kit but wiring into the factory PhoneIn inputs to avoid the relay click. Curious if it's noticeable/audible, especially with the radio off.

Hi Coop19,

I thought the Parrot was only good for the non-bose setup. The Parrot's output is intended for speaker level outputs, not pre-amp so it should overdrive the amps when on-call.

Am I missing something?

Default Re: Bluetooth Install DONE

I am having trouble installing the parrot into my Audi TT 2000. I have a 2000 Audi TT with Concert Radio 8N0 035 186 A. I have searched the forums and read alot of suggestions and am still having problems. I actually hired an installer who cannot get sound to come through my speakers for phone calls. I have installed the line+(brown) and line-(green) line out to the Tel- and Tel+ of the Audi head unit and the yellow mute of the parrot to the mute on the audi near the tele plugs on the audi head unit. The installer also connected the wiring harness to the back of the head unit for power. I can connect my phone via bluetooth and the radio will mute, however no sound comes through the speakers. I did some trouble shooting and connected a non-amplified speaker to the line+ and line- plugs directly and I can hear a barely audible conversation. I am not sure why connecting line+ and line- to the tel- and tel+ on the head unit fail to deliver sound to the speakers. Can this have something to do with the installer using the wiring harness to the power on the back of the head unit and not running the individual wires instead like others done? Does the line- and line+ need to be amplified 1st? Any suggestions what I am doing wrong?
