Need Wire Colors/Pinout for Output Sensor/TCU
I am not getting a signal from my transmission output speed sensor in Vag Com. I want to start testing for continuity but I have no idea which pins on the tcm to check or wire colors to look for. Anyone have any ideas or maybe a diagram? I checked continuity between pins 14 and 42 on the tcu connector. nothing. Not sure if these were the right pins though.

You need the pin location from Bentley...
at the TCU connector, and then you need to test for continuity with an ohmmeter from that pin at the TCU connector to the other end of the wire at the speed sensor under the car by the center tunnel.
And, if the wire is no good, your next challenge will be how to route it, since it will be impossible to figure out where along the harness it was broken. What I did was route a replacement wire through the side of the tranny tunnel near the output sensor by just drilling a hole and sealing with silicone, and cutting the existing wire a few inches from the TCU connector and splicing the new wire to it. Doing it that way meant I just had to lift the carpet up more by the TCU to get at the tranny tunnel area with a cordless drill, but no other painful wire routing or trim disassembly needed.
