the rear air from my audi a6 doesnt seem to be working...how the heck do i take the center console apart to take a look at it.?

You don't. First thing you do is vag-com.
There might be a vacuum motor faied or a door not working....at least you'll get a hint.

Often a club member near you has one and will show you (once) how it works/reads codes.

Define not working. Is it not blowing any air whatsoever? Direct the air flow to the middle vents only on your climate control, and then proceed to close vents at the front one by one, feeling with your hand if any air is coming out the back.

Not a lot of air flows there, though.

It could be that someone took the centre console off in the past but didn't reconnect the ducts properly when assembling. So all the air gets lost inside the centre console.

BTW, Ross-Tech has a new one coming out….wifi enabled and works with iPhones, etc. as well as laptops or PCs. I don't know if I'll buy one since I have a wired VCDS but who knows…I might sell my wired one and get the wifi one.

Wow that would be awesome. Hopefully they will do a trade-in/upgrade offer again like with the CAN cable.

They've said they will, but as with previous iterations you have be a registered owner to qualify. If you bought your cable second registration will cost you $99. I expect the Hex-NET interface will replace the Hex-USB+CAN cable once it's out of the beta release stage.

That's great as I am "registered". Been using them for many years. lol

Damn I am SO glad I did not buy the generic wifi tool. It was pretty expensive and wasn't specific for VAG. EDF or XDF or something.
