Anyone ever try out these sideview mirrors?

they wont fit your car. I ordered the same ones from this guy and the shape is off. They did fit
my wife's Passat though, which was lucky since they didn't respond to further emails...

UPDATED...Try your car insurance first!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just had the plastic frame around my passenger side mirror crack which released the LCD from the mirror. My local autobody claimed it through my insurance as a glass claim(like a windshield) and they replaced the mirror under my glass coverage.... no deductable .... FREE!
Would have cost 250.00 + for the heated/self tinting mirror!!
*********IMPORTANAT***************
Remember one thing, insurance may NOT cover cosmetic problems(ie. fogged up/ LCD distorted) but the replace cracked.. make sure ur insurance covers a crack before you put the hammer to it.

This is probably covered under "comprehensive", not "collision"
So check which deductible you are looking at.
Comprehensive covers car stereo theft, windshield repairs, broken headlights and smashing your taillight when the damn bike rack hits a bump in the middle of nowhere in New Jersey....
I found that lowering your comprehensive deductible isn't very expensive. Within two months last summer, I had a rock go through my headlight and had the bike rack problem....total out of pocket was only $100.

search ebay.de, occasionally there are some on there, it takes awhile and don't be mislead..........
there are some listed on there that will say they are for an A6 but are the wrong size (thanks BD for that warning). You have to be patient.
