turbo replacement issue

Default turbo replacement issue

2000 A6 2.7 6 speed revo software on stock 166000 miles im looking to replace my stock K03s with upgraded RS4 K04s however im not sure if the RS4 stock turbos will work properly with the revo software in the car... any input is appreciate the faster the better no fun looking at a broken car

if anyone knows exactly what else is necessary such as injector upgrades or intake upgrades please let me know need info that im having a lot of trouble finding online

Upgrading just the turbos is fine with the current software. The only difference you might see is a tiny bit more lag and slightly lower pre-intercooler intake air temps.

I always wondered what the duty cycle was for the stock injectors on the 2.7T. On my Saabs and Volvos even when I jacked up the intake charge pressure using the stock turbos (19-20psi on the saab, 14psi on the volvo 2.3T) I found better performance with bigger injectors. Also, the saabs and volvos utilized rising rate fuel pressure regulator replacement so that made a difference at WOT.

I suspect if the duty cycle on the 2.7T injectors is less than 100% the stock ones will be ok....as long as the fuel pressure regulator can compensate for the increased manifold pressure as well.

Thanks for the info I actually found a place in new jersey that does milling and theyre sending me K03s milled to k04s so I can keep all my stock hardware
