I've just gotten this DTC on my '01 2.7T.
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
00-10 - - - Intermittent
I tried to clear it, but it doesn't allow me. I've not seen this error before. Is this one of those "take it to the dealer" things? I'm not really equipped to shoot airbag issues at home and don't have access to the ancestral family shop any longer.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Airbag Systems say they can fix it for $100 and 3 day turn around

I emailed them after my airbag module issue with the 65535 internal memory error. It also happened when it was a 20F cold start. Anyway the module removal instructions are in the following tech article. It doesn't look too hard to remove.
