Default I agree, I just bought new discs (rotors, sorry) all round for my....

2.7t. I just bought through a friend who runs a motor factors locally and I got all four for about £85 (170$) and they look as if they are from the same manufacturer as OEM. They are Italian made so possibly un-branded Brembo?

Default ECS Tuning should be able to set you up with Zimmerman or other stuff.

Zimmermans are OEM replacements, possibly better quality. For pads, EBC Green, Hawk HPS, Axxis. If you're not a track junkie, that's the way to go.

Default I will get something zinc or cadmium coated. I have had two rust frozen

wheels on my car in one year. So frozen that I couldn't get it off with my 10 lb sledge. I had to take it to a tire shop and they said they hadn't seen a frozen wheel like this in years. Fortunately I was just rotating tires and not a flat. I will pay extra not to have to deal with frozen wheels on that hub. (I have used anti-sieze, but one still froze on there.
Anyone know if there are plain rotors that are zinc or cadmium coated? I can only find slotted or drilled.

There seems to be so much going on with brakes and rotors, wondering if we should try to get a group buy going with a vendor... I would love Cryo rotors, but a bit pricy.

Default This post/link has info. you may find helpful...

I posted this a couple of days ago. It also includes a link to a rather inexpensive brake upgrade ($699) vs. BBK that costs $2K or more.

Stoptech Stage 2 Brake Upgrade $699

Stoptech Stage 2 are OEM rotors, just call and ask them. ECS is the way to go.
