person that sold me his car has these rims:
The The wheels are Polished 5 Spoke Audi A8 rims. They had to be shipped out to CA to be specially adapted to fit the A6. There are also special lug nuts specific to these wheels. Also, these rims are no longer manufactured. They were machined to fit the A6.
How would they look, and what are they worth?

an interesting mod. to change the fitment of a wheel...
i'm not sure that i would trust the process without having been involved. couple that with the fact that the wheels are (fairly) similar in appearance to the forged A6 4.2 wheels like those worn on the 2.7t by potomac and a couple of others, and THOSE wheels would seem to be a better solution in my opinion. a NICE set of the forged alloys usually commands ~$800.00, and they're around - although not plentiful. otherwise i'd want to build a satisfaction guarantee into the deal with the seller, but assuming that you'd have to have them shipped, that may be hard to do.
ps... all that said - i think that they'd LOOK very nice.

answering out of order, but i think they've had the ~10mm "spacer" added to the wheel itself &
the (hub-centric) center bore continued... like a permanent spacer. i've seen/heard about this set somewhere before iirc - or another set that was very similar.

They are et48, A6's generally have et35 wheels
I have those wheels for winter on my A8, and have A6 4.2 deep dish five spoke wheels for summer.
Those wheels will sit in further 13mm (about 1/2") versus a et35 wheel.
You'd probably need to run 15mm spacers, which are about $90/set plus new lugs, $3 each.....so that's a total of another $180 plus $60 for spacers and lugs......
And they would look nice!
