ok i've seen some posts about this but no answers. today i accidentally caused a short in my 01 a6 in the radio compartment. not sure what shorted it - was only for a split second.
at that point the climate control unit under the radio went dead. all the fuses in the left dash panel seem fine.
looking through past posts and the bentley manual, says there is a relay panel under the steering wheel but it doesnt really says whats what down there.

is this a good direction to be looking for some hidden fuse? did this happen to anyone else? if its a relay, which relay and where do i find it?

I appreciate your help, its getting cold here in NY and i'm really going to need heat - and i just sunk $4000 on this car for new exhaust and some oil leak so i **really** need to fix this w/o a trip to the dealer.
