I'm still trying to alleviate a sick DMS cradle and just want to confirm that I didn't mix up the power adapter/cable during the move.

Does the power adapter that everyone else has include the text <i>DVE Switching Adapter, Model DSA-0131F-05 US, Input: 100-240V, Output: +5V 2.5A</i>? Also, the two prongs are oriented along the length of the adapter and cable (as it exits the adapter), which looks odd considering the more standard adapters I've seen.

Thanks in advance, I'm starting to loose sleep over this.

Just plugged mine in for the first time last night - that looks just like it.

My adapter says the output is 7.5V @ 1amp.

I gotta label the dozen adapters next time I break down and pack my office. :P

sell the box and DMS separtely on ebay and get your money back.

Just in case you have the same problem I did...

My cradle right out of the box would not recognize the DMS. A little fishing around on the phatnoise site led me to the solution. There's a bent silver metal microswitch inside to the left of the HD socket. Instructions say to gently pull the metal arm up (which apparantly allows the DMS to make contact with it, and subseqently the switch makes it's contact..).
